Those of you who would have seen Borat (a character played by Sacha Baron Cohen) shows and in particular his latest movie - "Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan" (the lengthy title makes me feel is hollywood taken up the trend of the bollywood). It is evident how much of a dig he takes on the Kazakhstan and their culture. While its comedy after all, he does cross the lines at some portions of the movie and hurt the sentiments of the kazhaks.

The movie features a spoof Kazakh TV reporter, played by comedian Sacha Baron Cohen, supposedly employed by the country's government to make a documentary on America.

That being the case, i was surprised to see that the visiting Kazhak President,Nursultan Nazarbayev, laughing off the remarks made by Borat in his movie.

The movie incidentally has topped the US and UK box office.

The President also adds "All publicity is good publicity.We are indeed concerned that Kazakhstan is not a very well-recognized country in Europe, although we have tried to make ourselves more recognized.."

We will know how cool the president is if Borat does takes up the invitation extended by the Kazhakh government to visit their country :-)...

See this snippet about a research done on Indian Monkeys.. How similar with humans...

" South Indian monkeys are more “civilised” and “cultured” than their North Indian cousins, according to an American expert on simian behaviour. Dr Leonard A. Rosenblum, a psychiatry professor from the University of New York, says that South Indian monkeys maintain close ties with other members of the group. Scientific research and prolonged observation of the behaviour of Indian monkeys for the past 50 years have proved that south of the Vindhyas are more caring, he said."

Dunno if we are going to see angry Software Engineers (not satisfied with their appraisals or not seeing thier demand for an Onsite Assignment taken seriously by their managers) going to the streets with flags or calling a strike..The best bet though would be to get on to the next conference call and start yelling "Inkulaab Zindabaad.."
Would not be surprised if i hear a similar voice from "Gods own country" soon.
